Jerry Jones is taking a victory lap after the Cowboys’ tie against the Packers. Before the start of the NFL season, Jones refused to give Parson the money he was demanding and traded him away to the Green Bay Packers for a slew of draft picks.

At the time, Jones was crushed by Cowboys fans for saying the trade would make the team better.

“In our judgment, this gives us a better chance to be a better team than we have been the last several years,” Jones said.

On Sunday, the Packers and Cowboys played to a 40-40 tie, and Jones used the game as proof that the Cowboys didn’t need Parsons.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones after talking about Dak Prescott’s impressive play tonight was asked about paying Dak and not Micah Parsons: “It’s very simple. Dak was indispensable. In my mind. And Micah wasn’t.” pic.twitter.com/wo0y6nxF3K

Parsons, on the other hand, was not happy with his performance.

“Shit, I’m not even lying, I’m pissed off,” Parsons said after the 40-40 tie with the Cowboys. “I’m very disappointed overall with how we performed. I took Jordan [Love] to the side and told him, ‘Thank you for having our back today.’ . . . Today, Jordan played like the player he was, and we let him down.”
