Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are headed to Cabo. Or whatever plans they have to do that don’t require playing in the playoffs.
The Dallas Cowboys’ disastrous season came to an end on Sunday afternoon. It ended with a Week 18 showdown against the division rival New York Giants. In true Cowboys form, tempers flared during the second half after the Giants took a two-score lead.
Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart found running back Tyron Tracy Jr on a 13-yard touchdown. After a scrum in the middle of the field, Cowboys standout Donovan Ezeiruaku would get ejected. He removed the helmet of a Giants player.
The play perfectly encapsulates the Cowboys’ season, which has been marred by unforced errors and a lack of discipline.
Following the game, Dak Prescott summed up the season perfectly. As he sat down to talk to reporters, Prescott said, “Oh sh-t.” He then smiled before saying, “That’s a good sound clip for the season.”

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott achieved his fourth career 4,000+ passing yard season in 2025. He finished with 4,552 yards and 30 touchdowns. Prescott came into the regular-season finale with the most passing yards, completions, and pass attempts in the NFL.
With the Cowboys eliminated from playoff contention, it is yet another dynamic regular season with nothing to show for it.
Prescott is set to carry a cap hit slightly north of $74 million in 2026. He’s not going anywhere as the Cowboys have little choice but to stick with the 32-year-old. The biggest question for the team is bringing back George Pickens. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones did not sound too optimistic about it.
They have a lot of questions for the team. Spotrac reports that they currently have -$23,930,920 in cap space.
