The NFL Week 14 schedule kicks off later tonight when the Detroit Lions host the Dallas Cowboys at Ford Field. Dak Prescott‘s Cowboys sit at 6-5-1, and they’ve won their past three games.
Meanwhile, the Lions sit at 7-5 and have alternated between wins and losses in the past eight games. Coming off a loss, the natural pattern would be for the home team to win this one, yet that’s not what happened the last time the Cowboys played at Ford Field.
That game occurred in 2019, when the Cowboys beat the Lions, 35-27. Prescott had a game he may never forget, completing 29-of-46 passes for 444 passing yards and three touchdowns. This time around, Prescott expects similar results. In fact, he guarantees it.

When asked what Prescott remembers from that fateful matchup, the Cowboys QB responded by saying, “that we lit them up. Lot of passing yards. About to do it again.”
The Lions have allowed the NFL’s third-most passing touchdowns this season, but they’ve ranked 17th in passing yards allowed. If anyone’s about to go off, it may be Jared Goff, seeing as he’ll be taking on a Cowboys defense that ranks 31st in points allowed, dead-last in passing touchdowns allowed, while allowing the NFL’s third-most passing yards.
However, Prescott is also leading the No. 1-ranked passing offense, so he has a reason to enter the game with supreme confidence.
