🏈 Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox named the Steelers as the ‘logical landing spot’ for All-Pro safety Justin Simmons.
“Pittsburgh is hoping to be a contender this year, but Simmons would be a sensible target for the Steelers. They traded away standout safety Minkah Fitzpatrick in the deal that brought Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith to Pittsburgh,” Knox wrote.
🏈 Former NFL general manager Mike Tannenbaum thinks age is the biggest issue with the Steelers defense. T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Jalen Ramsey and Darius Slay are all 30+ years old.
“Because of the age, can they do it for 17 games, against two teams [Ravens and Bengals] that we know can score, with quarterbacks that are in their prime,” Tannenbaum said Friday on ESPN’s Get Up.
