🏈 Dan Orlovsky said if Aaron Rodgers can get rid of the ball, he will be a top-five player in the NFL
“If he gets the ball out now, he’s gonna be a top-five player in the league,” Orlovsky said on ESPN’s GetUp. “If he has to hold the ball, for let’s say two-and-a-half seconds, and has those moments of, ‘I don’t see anybody open, I don’t know if anybody’s open, my eyes are gonna drop because I don’t want to get hit,’ he’s gonna be a bottom-five player in the league. That’s just where he is right now.”
🏈 Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers wants to see the Steelers get their run game going.
“We gotta run the ball. They play two-high, you gotta run the ball,” Rodgers said. “We gotta run the football against these combo coverages and two-high coverages. So you run the football, you have a chance to have some good play action stuff.”
🏈 Former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger thinks the “standard should be shifted” in regard to stopping the run.
“I know that there were seasons when I was there in Pittsburgh where it was like if the opposing team had 101 yards [rushing], the defense was mad, no one wanted to talk to anybody. I know the standard is the standard, but maybe the standard should be shifted a little bit,” Roethlisberger said on his Footbahlin podcast.
