🏈 The Indianapolis Colts are planning to bring potential Hall of Fame quarterback Philip Rivers into their facility Tuesday to work out to see if he may join their practice squad, according to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Rivers, who turned 44 on Monday, has not played in the NFL in five years. The Colts are in need of a quarterback after Daniel Jones’ season-ending Achilles injury.

According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Rivers is now a grandfather and “needs to figure out if he’s willing to play.”

Rivers’ oldest of 10 children, 23-year-old daughter Halle, is the same age as Riley Leonard, the quarterback he could be replacing soon.

Rivers would replace Aaron Rodgers (42 years old) as the oldest player in the NFL if he signs with the Colts.

🏈 Shannon Sharpe ripped Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely for multiple ball handling issues in recent weeks. Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. knocked the ball out of Likely’s hands before he achieved three steps in the end zone.

Three plays later, the Steelers’ defense forced a turnover on downs on their own 8-yard line, ending the late-fourth-quarter threat and ultimately winning the game 27-22.

“How many times, Likely, are you gonna get the ball punched out? … You don’t get style points for touchdowns,” Sharpe said on the Nightcap podcast. “… Actions without consequences, no lesson can be learned. You would’ve thought the actions that he had Thursday night...
