🏈 NFL.com released its preview for the Steelers-Colts game on Sunday. Eight of the 10 analyst on the panel have the Colts winning.

The red-hot 7-1 Colts open as 3-point road favorites over the Steelers on Sunday, according to odds posted at FanDuel Sportsbook. The Steelers have a +136 money line, while the Colts are -162. The over/under total for the game is 50.5.

🏈 Aaron Rodgers, who’s a Cal alum, is hoping for a Pitt win over Stanford on Saturday. Cal’s rival is Stanford.

“They’re playing those guys,” Rodgers said. “Come on Pitt. Let’s get it done this week.”

Rodgers said he often talks with the Pitt players at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex.

“Well, good luck to Pitt beating those guys for sure,” Rodgers said with a smile. “Let’s go. I talked to some of those guys just about every week, always teasing, I know they’re not playing Cal this year, but always say ‘you guys playing Cal?’ They say no we got, you know, NC State. You’re lucky it’s not Cal this week.”

🏈 WPXI: Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Skylar Thompson visited with cancer patients as part of the NFL’s Crucial Catch initiative.

At UPMC Hillman, Thompson met with patients and shared his personal story of how he lost his mom and grandfather to cancer.

“[I’m] able to share with them what my journey has been and being able to reflect and just provide some inspiration. They inspire me just as much as I do them…It’s just a very, very special connection and I’m just fortunate to be here and be able to do this,” Thompson said.

The initiative is part of a partnership between the NFL and the American Cancer Society.

It provides a grant to Hillman for improving cancer screenings for people who do not have health insurance or adequate health insurance.

Since 2012, the NFL’s Crucial Catch Initiative has helped provide 840,000 cancer screenings.
