🏈 Rookie wide receiver Germie Bernard revealed why he chose No. 17 to wear with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“I ain’t gonna lie, they had some weak numbers available,” Bernard said on the Big Time Talks podcast with former NFL defensive lineman Johnathan Hankins. “Obviously I was five in college, but Jalen Ramsey, he’s got five, so yeah we not touching that. But they had 17 open, and one of my favorite receivers is Davante Adams. I’ve been watching his film for a long time. I don’t go on YouTube and watch his highlights, I go in the film room and watch his highlights. I watch games, like really dive deep into his game.”

🏈 The Steelers’ wide receivers room is one of the most expensive in the NFL, ranking fourth at $51.9 million.

🏈 Pitt’s head coach Pat Narduzzi weighed in on sharing a stadium and facilities with the Steelers.

“It’s a major, major advantage. Recruits can watch the Steelers practicing. Mike Tomlin, Mike McCarthy … you might be calling me Mike Narduzzi soon,” Narduzzi said, via Brett McMurphy of On3.

🏈 Germie Bernard said the Steelers need to lock in for Aaron Rodgers.

“This is his last year. He’s finna tear it up for his last year. He’s elite, bro,” Bernard said on the Big Time Talks podcast with former NFL defensive lineman Johnathan Hankins. “Being around him, bro, you really gotta lock in with everything. But he’s also gonna help you get better. He’s gonna teach you everything. He gonna help you be on the same wavelength he is.”

🏈 CBS Sports ranked the Steelers triplets the 27th-best in the NFL.

The Steelers fell two spots, suggesting skepticism about Aaron Rodgers’ solid-on-paper season, in which he threw for 24 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. Rodgers again played extremely conservative football and essentially refused to get hit, firing short, quick passes all year long,” Jared Dubin of CBS Sports wrote. “Jaylen Warren will split reps with Dowdle, but we kept Warren in the lead role here because he’s the more versatile player. Metcalf isn’t the best fit with Rodgers’ style of play, and he posted the second-fewest yards per game of his career last year. The Steelers were in a virtual tie with the next team on our list.

🏈 Steelers outside linebacker Alex Highsmith was at the FIFA World Cup Final between Argentina and Spain.
