🏈 Former Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Weslye Saunders is now a budding reality TV star. He’s on Netflix’s reality show “Outlast: The Jungle.”

Saunders signed with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2011. The Indianapolis Colts claimed Weslye Saunders off waivers from the Steelers, just five days after his release in October of 2012.

He was then cut on July 25, 2013, following a suspension. Saunders was re-signed by the Colts on Oct. 29, 2013, after he served his 8-game suspension.

Saunders was waived by the Colts on Aug. 30, 2014. He re-signed with the team on Nov. 18, 2014, but was waived again on Dec. 2.

An 8-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs in 2014 led to his release, but he was re-signed.

In his four-year career, Saunders caught 10 passes for 90 yards and one touchdown. His lone touchdown was a 2-yard pass from Ben Roethlisberger in the Steelers’ 13-9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in 2011.

🏈 The Steelers had 11 explosive plays from 13 personnel last season, tied for second-most in the NFL, according to Ted Nguyen of The Athletic. The Los Angeles Rams led the league with a whopping 41 explosive plays out of 13 personnel.

🏈 Aaron Rodgers threw a league-high 31.7% of his passes at or behind the line of scrimmage last season. League average in that department was 21.3%, according to Matt Williamson of Steelers.com.

🏈 The Steelers allowed a 54% completion rate on throws of 10 or more yards last year, the league’s third-worst rate.
