“Kudos to @_BigBen7, @MaurkicePouncey and Joey Porter on their enshrinement into the @steelers Hall of Honor. 3 Steelers drafted who embraced the Tradition, the Culture, and the Expectations of being a Steeler. They all did it at a High Level! Was an honor to coach Ben & Joey! Cowher wrote on X.

🏈 New York Mayor Eric Adams said the gunman who killed four people at a Manhattan office building was targeting the NFL headquarters but took the wrong elevator. The shooter, Shane Tamura, left behind a note referencing a grievance against the NFL over an unproven claim he had CTE.

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Craig Clementi, an employee in the league’s finance department was struck in the back by a bullet during Monday night’s shooting. There is a belief that the bullet may have ricocheted before hitting him. Remarkably, the man, who had recently welcomed a new baby, was on the phone with other NFL employees at the time, warning them to stay safe and evacuate the building. He continued to make calls even while he was taken to the hospital by ambulance and Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a memo to league employees that their colleague is in stable condition.

Officer Didarul Islam was one of the four victims in Monday night’s shooting. He leaves behind two boys and an eight months pregnant wife.
