🏈 Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger believes the Steelers will get a better version of Aaron Rodgers in 2025.
“I think you’ll get a better Aaron this year. Just because the thought process of the Achilles, ‘what can I do, what can I not do?’ I don’t think he’ll think about it at all,” Roethlisberger said on his Footbahlin podcast.

🏈 Jerome Bettis thinks the offensive line’s ability to protect is the biggest question mark with Aaron Rodgers.
“I think the one big question that you have to ask yourself is, can you protect him? I think that’s going to be the number one priority for the Steelers. Obviously, you know Rogers as a quarterback is a talent. Even at 41 years old, he’s going to be way above average as a quarterback. If you can protect him, then you can get all the value out of him and that position. If you can’t protect him, then it doesn’t matter who you put out there. You can play two young guys, it doesn’t matter. You’re going to get the same productivity. So I think the goal is to protect him. If you can protect him, then I think you get all the benefits of having a quality football player at the helm, at the quarterback position.”
🏈 The Athletic’s Mike Jones calls the Steelers ‘losers’ after signing Aaron Rodgers.
“Rather than use an early draft pick on a promising quarterback prospect, the Steelers opted for a big-name/past-his-prime Band-Aid at the position,” Jones wrote. “That means they very well could enter next offseason in the same position as the last eight winters: without a playoff win and without a long-term answer at quarterback, especially after Rodgers said Tuesday that this NFL season will probably be his last.”
🏈 Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman predicts the Steelers will be a solid football team with Aaron Rodgers.
“I think they’re gonna be a solid football team. As they always are. I think they’ll be a little better than last year. Do I think they’re gonna win a Super Bowl? No. I love Mike Tomlin, I love the culture, I love the defense. I like Arthur Smith. But how fast can they get that machine going?”
