🏈 Aaron Rodgers backed Kaleb Johnson after a crucial mishap on the kickoff return against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Johnson failing to receive the kickoff resulted in a Seahawks touchdown.

“Kaleb’s a great kid and this is a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately league. When you have success early on, you have to learn how to handle success,” Rodgers said. “And when you deal with adversity, you have to learn how to deal with adversity the right way. You can’t let this get your confidence down, can’t hang your head. This is a professional league, and we expect greatness, but we also understand there’s gonna be mistakes and they happen. We’re human and you gotta move on and get better. They’re gonna love you when you’re riding high. They’re gonna try and crush you when you get beat. Can’t let it crush you, crush your spirits. Keep your confidence.”

🏈 Aaron Rodgers is not panicking after a disappointing loss to the Seahawks.

“It’s Week 2, come on now. It’s Week 2. It’s good for us. Last week, probably, there were some people who were feeling pretty good because everybody outside the building was talking about how great we were on offense and 34 points,” Rodgers said. “That’s the league. You can’t ride the highs and ride the lows. You gotta refocus every single week and be a professional. It starts with the practice and the preparation. Get a chance to reset, take a look at what we did last week, what worked, what didn’t work, from the preparation standpoint, do better next week.”

🏈 Former Steelers offensive lineman Trai Essex absolutely ripped the Steelers defense.

“The reason you trade for and sign VETS is so you DON’T have to ease into it. This defense is awful 2 games in and there is NO excuse. I don’t want to hear you have to wait for guys to mesh. They are fundamentally BAD. 30+ points given up 2 weeks in a row. Guys getting manhandled. I’m sorry, but heads have to roll early. This is absolute BS,” Essex wrote on X.

🏈 Steelers head coach Mike Tomln explained why he opted to punt the ball instead of going for it on fourth-and-1 late in the third quarter: “It was a 14-14 game, and neither offense was lighting it up at that juncture. As I mentioned, we had absorbed some attrition on defense, and so I wanted to protect that group and keep them on a long field,” Tomlin said.
