The Philadelphia Eagles are fresh off winning the Super Bowl over the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Eagles had the momentum from the jump, and after some key plays on both sides of the ball, they secured an early lead and never gave it back.

One of their top players in this game was rookie cornerback Cooper DeJean, who had a pick-six against Patrick Mahomes in the second quarter.

DeJean has already gotten significant praise for his role in the big game, and Cris Collinsworth piled on more during a recent appearance on “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams.

“Cooper DeJean may be the biggest steal we’ve ever seen in the second round of a draft,” Collinsworth said.

As Collinsworth mentioned, despite being a highly-touted player in college, DeJean fell to the second round, where the Eagles gladly scooped him up with the 40th overall pick.

He might have been a second-rounder, but his play during the regular season and Super Bowl made him look more like a first-rounder, likely making every team in the league regret not taking him.

Star cornerbacks like DeJean don’t often make it out of the first round, so this could be the steal of draft history, as Collisworth mentioned.

The Eagles won the Super Bowl with a combination of veteran and younger players, which is often a strong formula for success.

This should position them well to compete in 2025 and beyond, making them a threat in the NFC for the foreseeable future.
