The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for kickoff in a Monday night prime time showdown with the Arizona Cardinals, who are coming off their bye hoping to snap a five-game losing streak. Despite the week of rest, Arizona is still pretty banged up, as are the Cowboys. The inactives report confirmed who will and won’t be suiting up tonight.
The Cowboys had a whopping 14 players on their injury report this week, and several are now inactive. Safeties Donovan Wilson and Alijah Clark, as well as offensive lineman Ajani Cornelius, are in that category. However, Juanyeh Thomas returns to the field after missing time with a migraine.
Also on the inactive list are Jaydon Blue, Jonathan Mingo, Hakeem Adeniji, and Mazi Smith. Blue had a fumble in last week’s game, and Malik Davis was signed from the practice squad earlier in the week. Smith is back to being a healthy scratch, and has seen his name pop up as a possible trade chip ahead of tomorrow’s trade deadline.
As for the Cardinals, their biggest inactive is Kyler Murray. The quarterback is set to miss his third straight game, with Jacoby Brissett getting the start in his place. Brissett was announced as the starter early in the week, but head coach Jonathan Gannon had held out hope that Murray would be healthy enough to play in a limited capacity. Clearly, that turned out to not be the case.
