Blogging The Boys
Everyone seems to be excited about the Dallas Cowboys offense for 2026. After a stellar 2025 season, the Cowboys are basically running it back on that side of the ball.
The Cowboys feature an array of weapons on offense, but for this poll we want to concentrate on pass catching. Specifically, who will lead the Cowboys in touchdown receptions in 2026?
Last year the winner was George Pickens with nine, Jake Ferguson was right behind him with eight. The year before it was Jalen Tolbert, believe it or not, with seven. In 2023, it was CeeDee Lamb with 12.
We have four options in our poll, and we’ll make a case for each.
If he can stay healthy, he is the alpha and will probably want to get back to scoring TDs. The past few years haven’t been his best in that department. He is itching to reclaim his WR1 title with a vengeance.
Last year’s leader, Pickens, is a jump ball master, a guy who can go and get it for you. His catch radius and athleticism allows Dallas to isolate him with one-on-ones and have him just outplay the other guy in the red zone.
He almost was the leader last year. He is in a contract year, and he’s always a reliable target. He may not be breaking the big gains lately, but in the red zone he can shine.
Case 1: Somehow Javonte Williams becomes a real threat catching the ball out of the backfield. Feels unlikely.
Case 2: Ryan Flournoy sneaks his way into the race as the guy benefitting from the coverage on Lamb and Pickens.
Okay, who ya got? Vote in the poll then hit the comments.
