Cowboys survey Week 3: They won, but are fans convinced?

Previous to the Dallas Cowboys starting the 2025 NFL season, we checked in on the pulse of the fans. Heading into Week 1, the confidence that the direction of the franchise was the right one was low at 35%. Then the Cowboys went out and took the World Champs, the Philadelphia Eagles, down to the wire in an unexpectedly close game.

After that game, we checked the confidence in the direction of the team. The number had shot up to 68% despite the loss.

We’re back to check it again. The Cowboys actually won this week, evening their record at 1-1, and it was an NFC East win to boot. Once the Cowboys offense got rolling, it was able to put up 40 points. All good stuff.

But… the Giants were not expected to be a good team. Dallas was not expected to be ripped apart on defense by Russell Wilson. The reality of the game did not meet the expectation going in.

So is a win a win in the NFL, or do you need to win in a certain way? That’s a question we partially answer with another round of our confidence survery.
