What’s your grade for the George Pickens trade?

The Dallas Cowboys are trying things a little differently this offseason. They aren’t sitting back and basically doing nothing like in the offseason of the 2024 season. Instead, they’ve stayed true to Stephen Jones’ ‘selectively aggressive’ mantra for 2025 and made moves to patch the roster where needed.

They have also used all three methods of roster-building to their advantage this time around - draft, free agency and trades. The Cowboys spent free agency bringing in players to fill specific roles and spent big on one player - their own, Osa Odighizuwa. They followed that with what most think was a very good draft, which is their specialty.

But they also got into the trade market, and not just reclamation projects like Kaiir Elam and Kenneth Murray. They took a big swing by acquiring mercurial talent George Pickens.

Pickens has the talent needed, that much is not in doubt. He also is a good complement in play style to CeeDee Lamb; they should make each other’s jobs easier. But Pickens does come with a reputation for typical ‘diva’ behavior from a wide receiver. He is also in the last year of his current deal, meaning he will be a free agent next spring.

It’s been a few weeks since the deal went down, and now that you have had a chance to absorb it in its entirety, how would you grade the trade today?

Vote in the poll and then hit the comments with your reasoning.
