Cowboys survey: See how Dallas fans felt about Micah Parsons and Week 1
Blogging The Boys Blogging The Boys

Let’s just go ahead and say it’s been an unusual week for the Dallas Cowboys. What was supposed to be a time when they settled their 53-man roster and prep for Week 1 of the NFL season turned into full-blown chaos when the team traded their star player. The Micah Parsons trade was a shakeup of the Cowboys ecosystem and has caused many different feelings among the Cowboys faithful.

The other thing it did is ruin our recent survey question! Earlier in the week, we had asked fans to vote on whether Micah Parsons would suit up to play in Week 1 versus the Eagles. At the time, Brian Schottenheimer was giving us assurances that Parsons would be available. As you might have heard, he won’t be available. Unless you’re the coach of the Green Bay Packers.

Our survey question was built around the idea that either Parsons would show up for practices and play this week, or he would continue his holdout and miss the game. It was even possible he declared himself ready without practicing and thereby forcing the Cowboys to be the ones to sit him. Sure, the trade idea was always hanging out there, but the Cowboys had been pretty adamant it wasn’t going to happen.

So under those circumstance, 66% of you thought he wouldn’t play in Week 1.

Since it’s now 100% that Parsons will not play for Dallas in Week 1, we’ll ask a different question for the comments. Did you expect the Cowboys to trade Parsons, or did you think he would just sit out the first game? Hit the comments and let us know.
