Cowboys urged to sign former PFF darling to fix major weakness - Ryan Heckman, The Landry Hat

Hopefully, Jerry isn’t done adding talent.

Kendall Fuller is a versatile cornerback who’s been a favorite of Pro Football Focus for a long time

Say what you will about Pro Football Focus, but they have loved Fuller for a while now. In both 2021 and 2023, he earned an overall grade over 80.0 which is very rare. For context, only five corners earned that high of a grade in 2024.

Moton made even more sense of Dallas potentially adding Fuller, noting his versatility.

“Dallas can bring in Fuller to shore up its pass coverage. He can line up outside to fill in for Diggs and transition into the slot if none of the young defensive backs impress in nickel duties.”

The fact Fuller could play both outside and inside, for Dallas, is a huge reason to sign him. He’s a proven veteran who, surprisingly, has never made a Pro Bowl. However, in nine seasons, Fuller has totaled 16 interceptions and 82 pass breakups over his career.

The Cowboys have a recent history of not going out and making splash moves in free agency, but this would be as good of a consolation as any, at this stage in the offseason. Jerry Jones should get it done, and if he does, fans will be far more relaxed about the state of the secondary.

Dak Prescott already shouting praises of Brian Schottenheimer era - Tyler Reed, Sports Illustrated

News of Schottenheimer has been encouraging thus far.

Sure, hiring a coach from a staff that you just gave a pink slip to may not scream optimism. But Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s recent comments may change all of those who are not sold on the Schottenheimer hiring.

When recently speaking with the media, Prescott told reporters that Schottenheimer is “Doing a hell of a job,” building a new culture in Dallas.

Prescott and Schottenheimer should already have a strong bond, as the two were inseparable the past two seasons on the sidelines.

However, Schottenheimer is now tasked with building chemistry with the entire roster, and Prescott’s ringing endorsement should make fans feel very confident in year one under their new head coach.

Coaching changes are never easy, but it feels like Schottenheimer becoming the head coach in Dallas has been a smooth transition.
