The Dallas Cowboys have now all seven of their 2026 rookies signed. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, edge rusher Malachi Lawrence has signed a four-year, fully guaranteed deal worth $20.22 million.

Lawrence was the second of the two first-round picks for the Cowboys back in April along with safety Caleb Downs. Lawrence was taken at No. 23 while Downs was the No. 11 overall selection. Lawrence is coming off a senior campaign at UCF where he racked up seven sacks, 11 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and two forced fumbles. In Christian Parker’s revamped defense in 2026, Lawrence will be featured in a rotation where veteran Rashan Gary and second-year edge Donovan Ezeiruaku will likely be starting.

Now that the contractual stuff is out of the way, Lawrence can focus on getting through OTAs, rookie minicamp in the middle of June, and his first training camp at the end of July.
