As the Dallas Cowboys embark on the 2025 NFL season, their fanbase remains skeptical. The recent trade of Micah Parsons definitely threw some fans for a loop. No one knows how to upset the apple cart quite like Jerry Jones.

Not only did they trade away their best player, but they have to go on the road to start the season against their rivals, who just happen to be the world champions. That would be the Philadelphia Eagles. That’s a tough go, even if a team had all their parts in place. The Cowboys are, instead, a work in progress. They have a first-time NFL head coach in Brian Schottenheimer who has to prove himself. The roster has some important pieces just getting back from injury which is concerning. And in the background is last year’s disaster season which eroded confidence.

Add that up, and you get a fanbase that is decidedly not confident that the team is headed in the right direction. Only 35% of respondents thought the team was going the right way. Many are in a wait-and-see mode, or just downright not buying what the Cowboys are selling.

We’ll be tracking this metric all season long so thanks to those who participated this week.
