Cowboys at Jets inactives: Dallas offensive line almost all backups

The Cowboys are gearing up for their game against the Jets, hoping to get back in the win column after last week’s tie and looking to avoid losing a second game to a winless team. That will be easier said than done, though, as they’ll be playing without four of their starting five offensive linemen, among other inactives.

Tyler Booker and Tyler Guyton are both inactive with injuries, both being ruled out earlier in the week. They join Cooper Beebe and Tyler Smith on the list of starters who are unavailable today; Beebe was already added to the injured reserve, while Smith is technically active for this game but is only expected to play in case of emergency.

The anticipated starters on the offensive line, from left to right, are Nate Thomas, Hakeem Adeniji, Brock Hoffman, TJ Bass, and Terence Steele. That will certainly make things more difficult, even with the Jets defense struggling thus far in 2025.

Also on the inactives list are receivers CeeDee Lamb and KaVontae Turpin, the latter of whom got banged up in last week’s game. In response, the Cowboys called up both Jalen Cropper and Jalen Brooks from the practice squad, with Cropper expected to fill Turpin’s special teams role. Rookie running back Jaydon Blue will also be making his NFL debut, active today for the first time.

The Cowboys will also be without Miles Sanders and Marshawn Kneeland, both of whom are dealing with injuries. Sanders did not practice this week with a knee and ankle injury, leading to Blue’s activation. Rookie defensive tackle Jay Toia is also inactive.

As for the Jets, they’ll be without a couple key players, too. Starting cornerback Michael Carter II, who has struggled for this maligned defense, was ruled out earlier this week with a concussion. Backup running back and top return man Kene Nwangwu is also inactive for this game. In a bit of a surprise, edge rusher Jermaine Johnson is also inactive with an ankle injury.
