Finally, we made it. We have real football from now until February and, thank goodness, it is so good to be back.
The Dallas Cowboys report to training camp this week, one step closer to the 2026 regular season is training camp, which will officially begin with the team’s first practice on July 29th.
I have tried my hardest to do a deep dive into the Cowboys’ depth chart over the last month, and I think I hit on every player that was possible that has a chance to make the roster, but with that said, now that camp is here and things are about to get real for some of these players.
So, remember these are my thoughts, and with camp starting this week, I wanted to highlight the first two players that come to my mind with the most to prove in the first week.

Look man, this cornerback room is the worst thing about this team, and they did a great job of getting better this offseason, but this unit has to figure it out.
Shavon Revel should feel a lot of pressure, he could either hit a home run or find a backseat over the few weeks starting today.
Had it not been for a knee injury that kept him from playing in 2024, Revel Jr. would likely have been a first-round pick. The Cowboys decided to take a swing at him in the third round of last year’s draft, and they’re now in a position to cash in.
This group is dealing with a lot of injuries, but the best thing about the Cowboys new defensive coordinator is that Christian Parker knows how to get corners to play at the highest level, and Revel has a real chance to make a name for himself, not just this year, but going forward and that starts this week.
The Cowboys have a very good chance at having one of the best offensive lines in all of football, both the left tackle and right tackle are still an issue.
Tyler Guyton and Nate Thomas are going to be battling for the starting left tackle spot, and Guyton has all the raw talent in the world, but was a major issue with all the flags he drew a year ago.
On the surface, it will probably make Guyton stay focused and put in the work that we know he has but struggle to stay constant.
Even when healthy, though, Guyton’s been far too inconsistent to be trusted to be the blind side blocker for Dak Prescott or whoever is playing the position.
