If you missed it in the aftermath of the Super Bowl blowout, CJGJ took a shot at Travis Kelce for breaking up with Kayla Nicole and eventually getting together with Taylor Swift:
Right. So according to the internet, Kelce and Nicole broke up in May of 2022. He began dating Swift in September of 2023, so you can’t say that he left woman #1 for woman #2 because there was a gap between. There’s your background.
Anyway, as you know, Kelce has the proxy support of the Swifties, a group that is larger than the population of a small country. They did not take kindly to CJGJ trashing their favorite pop star’s man, and in sycophantic fashion launched a counter-assault that included review-bombing his mom’s restaurant and calling ICE, allegedly. Or at least joking about doing it:
As of publication, King’s Grill Rockledge has 144 Google reviews and a 3.9 average rating. It looks like the spam reviews were taken down. I checked a couple of sites and don’t see any spam remaining. On Facebook, however, it looks like Eagles fans and some other random people are reverse-review-bombing the restaurant and spamming it with positive replies, countering the counter-assault with a salvo of their own:
Right, so that’s the story. CJGJ took a shot at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift after the Super Bowl win, Swifties launched a counter-offensive, then Eagles fans launched a counter-counter-offensive of their own. We haven’t seen maneuvering like this since season one of Homeland. Also, if anybody knows anyone on the Pulitzer Prize commission, please send them this headline. It’s one of my better ones.
