Dak Prescott has played quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys since 2016, after being drafted in the fourth round out of Mississippi State. Originally expected to be a backup, Prescott became the starter as a rookie due to injuries to both Tony Romo and Kellen Moore, and never looked back. He won NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2016, leading Dallas to a 13–3 record. Known for his leadership, poise, and mobility, Prescott has been the face of the franchise throughout the late 2010s and 2020s, earning multiple Pro Bowl selections and becoming one of the most statistically productive quarterbacks in team history.

Prescott is best known for his steady leadership, ability to make plays, and no-quit attitude, serving as the Cowboys’ franchise quarterback and guiding them to multiple playoff appearances while breaking numerous passing records.
Lesser known fact:
Prescott’s full first name is actually Rayne, and “Dak” is short for his middle name, Dakota. Growing up, he was called “Dak” by his family, and he preferred it to his first name which people mispronounced as ‘rainy.’
