The contract details have been revealed for the one-year deal for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Robert Woods.

Woods agreed to a one-year contract with the Steelers late last month, and it’s with a total of $2 million. According to Over the Cap, Woods’ contract has a fully guaranteed signing bonus worth $745,000, and a base salary of $1.255 million that is not guaranteed.

Woods will be playing for the Steelers at a significant discount compared to his previous contract He signed a two-year, $15.25 million contract with the Houston Texans in 2023. Before that, he had a four-year, $65 million contract with the Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans. A former second-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in the 2013 NFL Draft, Woods is entering his 13th season in the NFL and his contract with the Steelers will push him over $75 million in career earnings.

With the trade of George Pickens, Woods is now currently a starter on the team’s offseason depth chart, though as general manager Omar Khan noted at rookie minicamp over the weekend, there is still a long way to go until the start of the regular season. The Steelers will likely be active in seeking an upgrade on Woods for their second outside receiver slot behind DK Metcalf.

Special teamer Ben Skowronek, practice squad returnees Brandon Johnson and Lance McCutcheon and undrafted rookie Roc Taylor are the other primary options at outside receiver on the team’s 90-man offseason roster.

Woods is scheduled to make slightly more than the Steelers’ last veteran second receiver. Last year, Van Jefferson held that roster spot and earned $1.2925 million over the course of the 2024 season.

Jefferson caught 24 of 40 targets for 276 yards and two touchdowns for the Steelers last season. Woods hauled in 20 of 30 target for 203 yards for the Houston Texans in 2024.
