The Washington Commanders listed two players as questionable for tomorrow night’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Tress Way suffered a back injury when he was hit by Giants rookie LB Abdul Carter on a punt attempt. He punted at yesterday’s practice, but was listed as limited. The Commanders signed a punter to the practice squad earlier today. Head coach Dan Quinn said that was a precautionary move on a short week, and his concern for Way’s health and availability was lower today.
Deatrich Wise Jr was added to this week’s injury report with a knee injury. He was listed as a full participant the first two days of the week, but was downgraded to limited for today’s practice. Wise had four combined tackles including a tackle for loss and a QB hit vs Russell Wilson and the Giants.
A few other players appeared on this week’s injury report, but nobody has an injury designation. Jayden Daniels was listed with a right wrist injury, but Quinn said he’s good to go. Austin Ekeler has been limited all week with a shoulder injury, but he’ll be suited up to take on the Packers. He got the start in Week 1, but Bill Merritt stole the show in his rookie debut. Noah Brown continues to be listed due to an offseason knee injury, but he was a full participant all week before getting a rest day.
