Commanders vs Giants Wednesday Injury Report: Three players limited
Hogs Haven Hogs Haven

The Washington Commanders enter their season opener against the New York Giants with several players dealing with injuries from the preseason. There were six players on the first injury report of the season, while the Giants only had OT Andrew Thomas listed as limited due to a foot injury. Washington’s long list includes TE Zach Ertz getting a vet rest day, and K Matt Gay missing today’s practice with an illness.

The Commanders had three players that were limited today. DE Dorance Armstrong is listed with a knee injury, and CB Jonathan Jones is dealing with a hamstring injury. WR Noah Brown suffered a knee injury in June, and has been practicing on a limited basis recently. He didn’t play in the preseason, but it sounds like he’s still on track to be available to start the season.

QB Marcus Mariota also had a restricted preseason while he dealt with Achilles tendinitis. Washington kept a third QB on their initial 53-man roster, but Mariota is projected to be Jayden Daniels’ backup when the Commanders host the Giants on Sunday.
