The Washington Commanders held their third, and final practice of a shortened week as they prepare to host the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday. Four players were ruled out, with another two listed as questionable. Jayden Daniels won’t be playing in the final three games, but has been practicing with the team. He reaggravated the injury when he returned a month after the original elbow dislocation. He’ll be listed as limited for the remainder of the season.
Several players were injured during the Giants game last week. WR Noah Brown (rib) and practice squad CB Darius Rush (groin) were placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season. LT Laremy Tunsil (oblique), DT Eddie Goldman (concussion), and TE Colson Yankoff (ankle) have been ruled out vs Saturday’s game. Brandon Coleman will get the start at LT for the first time since his rookie season, but he has filled in for Tunsil several times this year.
Two players are questionable, with DT Johnny Newton added to the injury report with an illness today. CB Jonathan Jones missed the Giants game with a rib injury, and he didn’t practice today. He was a full participant the last two days, so this could have been a planned rest day for the veteran.
Drake Jackson has been cleared for contact and has been a full participant all week. He’s returning from a patellar tendon injury from 2023, but has also been dealing with a groin injury for weeks. Jackson’s debut for the Commanders is happening per Dan Quinn.
