Colts-Titans opening odds: Colts look to keep riding high

The Indianapolis Colts head back to Indiana off a huge road win against the Los Angeles Chargers. The game got tighter at times but the Colts were never truly in danger as they handled their business in an extremely impressive fashion. The Colts now return home for their last true home game before the bye to take on the Tennessee Titans. FanDuel Sportsbook sees this one as a big Indy advantage giving the Colts a -14.5-point spread. (Since doing opening odds, this might be the biggest Colts spread I’ve seen which shows how far this team has come this season.)

The money line comes in at -1100, and the over/under is 44.5.

The Colts came out swinging and took it to the Chargers early and often scoring on their first three possessions, leading to a 23-3 score at the half. Justin Herbert and the Charger offense found more rhythm in the third quarter, but the Colts continued to match touchdown for touchdown. By the time, the fourth quarter rolled around, the Colts didn’t score but didn’t need to as the game was comfortably in hand. The defense had issues of their own stopping the Charger’s offense but were able to force key turnovers which kept points off the board.

In the early slate of games, the Titans continued a familiar theme of theirs in 2025; get out to a good start, keep it close in the first half, and then completely crumble in the second. Cam Ward and his team held the lead under two minutes in the first half but gave up a quick strike for a touchdown to the Patriots within a minute of game time. That left them in a 17-13 hole that only deepened. The second half drives went like this: fumble, punt, punt, turnover on downs, interception. Meanwhile, the surprising Patriots put two more touchdowns on the board which led to another blowout loss for the Titans at 31-13.

The Colts have to be feeling good heading into this matchup. They just beat a good, albeit, struggling Chargers team on the road handily. They now head home to face a bad team whom they have already beaten once this year. That is exactly why the spread is so high and the Colts such favorites in week eight. One can’t put it in the bank just yet, but it has the look and feel of a win. The Colts just have to make it happen.
