The Indianapolis Colts have played the Pittsburgh Steelers quite a bit over the years. Thirty-five times these two teams have matched up, and the Colts have only won eight of those games. That is the bad part. A potential silver lining, however, is that two of those wins came in the last two meetings. Both of those were at Lucas Oil, so the Colts have their work cut out for them on the road. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Colts with an advantage in the spread at 3-points.
The money line starts at -166 while the over/under is 49.5.
The Colts did what they have all season; they pummeled their opponent offensively. The Titans made it close at 7-10 early but the Colts rattled off the next twenty-eight making it a blow out. A portion of the starters finished the game on the sideline as Daniel Jones to Michael Pittman is becoming a real thing, along with Jonathan Taylor running amok. Three touchdowns and an eighty-yard run highlighted his evening. No one is demonstrating they can contain this offense, and overall, this team is becoming a real threat.
The Steelers played host to the Packers in the “Rodgers” game as the quarterback faced off against his former team. Pittsburgh is a place the Packers hadn’t won at since 1970, but they made a statement on Sunday Night Football winning 35-25. Jordan Love, the student, overtook his mentor by putting up 360-yards and three touchdowns on the night. Things were looking good for the Steelers early as they held a 16-7 lead at the half. The game tightened in the third, though, and the wheel fell off in the fourth as the Steelers surrendered 21-points. That one has to sting.
The Colts showed against the Chargers that their offense travels well. This Steelers team is good but not as formidable as years past. It won’t be easy, however, and the Colts will need all hands on deck. A great showing from the offense coupled with a stiffening of the defense should be enough to get the job done. Let’s see if they can steal one from the Steelers.
