The Indianapolis Colts announced that on Wednesday the team signed former UFL San Antonio Brahmas defensive end Marcus Haynes and placed wide receiver D.J. Montgomery on the injured reserve list:
The 6โ4,โ 240 pound well-traveled defensive end was originally signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent, before later spending time with the Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, and most recently, the Brahmas.
During 2 games with the Brahmas during the 2025 regular season, Haynes recorded 7 tackles (2 solo) and a sack.
He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
Montgomery was injured a few days ago in training camp practice and has not returned since.
He did not appear in a game last year, but for the Colts in 2023, he recorded 3 receptions for 56 receiving yards and a touchdown reception during 7 games.
