The Indianapolis Colts (6-7) travel to ‘the Rockies’ for a pivotal road clash against the Denver Broncos (8-5) with their playoff hopes clearly on the line.
Per Colts.com, if Indianapolis beats Denver, the Horseshoe’s playoff hopes jump from 30% to 66%, and if they lose the odds decrease from 30% to 9%, so it’s essentially a must-win game for 2nd-year head coach Shane Steichen’s club.
The Colts would still have to catch another subsequent game on Denver but are aided by the fact that Indianapolis plays the likes of the Tennessee Titans (3-10), at the New York Giants (2-11), and the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-10) to close out the 2024 regular season.
Meanwhile, the Broncos, also coming off a bye week, faces the following opponents: at Los Angeles Chargers (8-5), at Cincinnati Bengals (5-8), and the Kansas City Chiefs (12-1).
Clearly, it’s a tale of two different collective strengths of schedule down the season’s final stretch run—with the Colts clearly having the upper hand.
However, Indianapolis has to take care of business on Sunday. Otherwise, it’s all for naught.
