Who’s inactive for the Indianapolis Colts’ Week 15 matchup against the Denver Broncos?

The Indianapolis Colts released their list of inactive players ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Denver Broncos. Among those inactive include the list of players below.

While there are no true surprises on the list of inactive players for the Colts, the team is getting back several key players coming off the bye week. Wide receiver Josh Downs is back in the starting lineup after missing a short amount of time with a shoulder injury. Downs’ presence in Indy’s offense cannot be understated, as he and second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson have developed quite a connection.

Rookie center Tanor Bortolini will also make his return after being sidelined with a concussion. Right tackle Braden Smith is set to miss the remainder of the regular season as he continues to deal with a personal matter. Look for rookie Matt Goncalves is set to start in Smith’s place once again Sunday and going forward.

Denver’s top-ranked defensive front against Indianapolis’ offensive line will be one of the storylines to keep an eye on. Right guard Mark Glowinski will also get the start in place of Dalton Tucker. We’ll have to see if the Colts can keep things going on the ground following a much-improved performance against the New England Patriots in Week 13.

Defensively, the Colts are also getting back a key lineman in Tyquan Lewis. Lewis was initially added to the injury report on Saturday (ribs) but is good to go for Sunday. Indianapolis’ defensive front will have to make life difficult for rookie quarterback Bo Nix, who has been excellent over the last several weeks.

Sunday’s game for the Colts is as massive as it gets. A win over Denver Sunday puts the team in prime position to possibly go on a run and clinch a playoff berth for the first time since 2020. A loss, however, drops the Colts’ playoff hopes to less than ten percent. We’ll see if Indy can pull of the upset against the 8-5 Broncos to stay alive in the AFC wild card race.
