Colts announce practice squad positional shuffle—with mammoth sized OT signing

The Indianapolis Colts announced on Tuesday that the team has signed offensive tackle Bayron Matos to the team’s practice squad and waived fellow offensive tackle Marcellus Johnson in a corresponding taxi squad move.

The Colts had worked out Matos among four players on Monday. He reportedly also recently worked out for both the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The 6’7”, 334 pound Matos was the International Pathway Program Player from the Dominican Republic (where he was also a college basketball player) and was with the Miami Dolphins practice squad last season—having been waived by the Dolphins as part of final 53-man roster cuts this past offseason with an injury designation.
