Good morning New York Giants fans! Happy Saturday and welcome to Week 13 of the 2025 college football schedule.
This week is something of the calm before the storm, with Rivalry Week coming next week and conference championships the following week. But that doesn’t mean that we don’t have some quality matchups this week.
ESPN – noon
We pretty much have to start with this game after Matt Miller mocked Miami right tackle Francis Mauigoa to the Giants at 3rd overall (including a trade down).
Offensive line — and offensive tackle in particular — could be anywhere from a big need for the Giants to more of a “depth and development” concern depending on how they approach free agency and the development of Marcus Mbow. EDGE Reuben Bane Jr. is the player everyone will be here to watch, but the Hurricanes have a bunch of other prospects who could interest the Giants, so this is a team that bears watching.
Virginia Tech

CBS – 3:30 p.m.
We talked about USC very recently, but this is probably the marquee matchup of the day. And it’s been a little while since we talked abut the Oregon Ducks, so we’ll concentrate on them for this highlight.
The big question is whether Oregon quarterback Donte Moore will declare for the 2026 NFL Draft. Moore is a red-shirt sophomore and it would probably be better for him as a player and a young man to stay in school for another year. He has fewer than 20 starts under his belt and more experience and growth would almost certainly make him a better Pro quarterback. But it would definitely be better for the Giants if Moore declared this year.
Quarterback aside, Oregon has a bunch of players in whom the Giants could be interested.
OT Isaiah World could draw interest as a Day 2 prospect if the Giants want a big, powerful lineman to develop behind Jermaine Eluemunor — Though at 6-foot-8, World might be too big. Guard Emmanuel Pregnon might actually be a better fit for the Giants as a guard who could step in immediately upon being drafted. Pregnon has good size (6-foot-5, 320 pounds), adequate athleticism, very good power and play strength, and definite mean streak. He has primarily played left guard at USC, Wyoming, and Oregon, but does have some experience at right guard, while also being an elite pass protector (no sacks, no hurries, 1 hit this year), and a very solid run blocker.
