Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Shelby Harris was so fired up over Myles Garrett setting the new single-season sack record that he decided to celebrate with a referee.
Coming into Sunday’s road game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Myles Garrett needed just a single sack to break the record, shared by Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt (22.5 sacks). He got the job done with a sack on Joe Burrow with only five minutes remaining:

And to make the moment even more timeless? Shelby Harris could be seen high-fiving a referee in celebration after the record-breaking play:

Garrett fell short of breaking the record in last week’s road win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. After the game, Garrett accused the Steelers of worrying more about containing him than winning.
But at long last, Garrett was able to set the record. And having it come on the road against another division rival only makes it sweeter.
The Browns finish the 2025 season with a 5-12 record, though they closed out with consecutive wins against divisional rivals. But the season will nonetheless be memorable in Cleveland lore, thanks to Garrett’s special season.
