Dawgs By Nature
The Cleveland Browns opened as 4.5-point underdogs at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of their Week 17 match-up, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under on the game is 34.5.
The Browns (3-12) are coming off of a 23-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills. It was an unusual game in terms of the flow of things. The Browns’ defense looked completely helpless and as bad as you can get on their first three drives, as Buffalo drove down the field with ease — mostly through their running game — for three touchdowns. Then, the rest of the game, the defense pretty much shut them out. The only field goal they allowed came off of an interception in opposing territory. The offense had some flashes, but then had two chances to tie or go ahead late in the fourth quarter, they turned it over on downs and had to punt deep from their own territory.
The Steelers (9-6) held off the Detroit Lions in a game that had a pretty crazy ending. With the Ravens having lost later in the evening, they have a firm grip over the AFC North lead and a likely playoff berth. The only way they could possibly miss the postseason starts with if the Browns are able to pull off an upset against them.
The over/under for the game is 34.5. With Myles Garrett getting half a sack last week, he now has a chance to break the NFL sack record against Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers in front of the home crowd.
