As the old saying goes, ‘If you have two quarterbacks, then you have none at all.” Well, if that’s true, then what about the Cleveland Browns, who have five quarterbacks? What do they have?
A stiff competition for the starting role.
Between Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders, who will be the Browns’ starting quarterback in 2025? While Deshaun Watson is on the roster too, he may not factor in at all, due to re-tearing the Achilles tendon that ended his season after seven games.
According to ESPN’s Browns insider Cameron Wolfe, the current favorite to win the starting QB job in Cleveland is Flacco.

It’s no surprise that Wolfe considers Flacco as the favorite to win the open competition in Cleveland. After all, he’s the only one of the four who has any previous experience operating head coach Kevin Stefanski’s offense.
Of course, there’s always the possibility that Pickett, the former first-round pick, takes a leap as he heads into his fourth season. Or maybe one of the rookies can impress just enough to win over the locker room.
Either way, the Browns have a lot to figure out this fall.
