Prank calling NFL Draft prospects appears to be a thing, and Mason Graham was also a victim of it.
Before quarterback Shedeur Sanders was prank-called during the NFL draft, the fellow Cleveland Browns rookie received a prank call before the Browns took him with the No. 5 pick.
Penn State tight end Tyler Warren also reportedly was pranked on draft night. He ended up being drafted No. 14 overall by the Indianapolis Colts.
Footage was then shown of a young man pranking Graham. He called him derogatory names and laughed at him on what was supposed to be the best day of his life.

Grahamâs experience was certainly nothing like Sanders. His slide into the fifth round was the biggest story of the draft. The Colorado quarterback wasnât selected until Day 3 of the draft Saturday. ESPNâs broadcast repeatedly focused on Sanders during Thursdayâs first round as each team with a need for a quarterback selected a different player.
During Fridayâs second round, a person claiming to be New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis called Sanders and told him that the Saints were going to select him.
Mason Graham may have received a prank call telling him Cleveland would take him, but he would not have to wait long to find out that they took him.
In the meantime, the 21-year-old son of Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, Jax Ulbrich, was identified in the calling of Shedeur. His father, as well as the Falcons, have been fined as a result.
Hopefully, an investigation finds these other people as well.
Shedeur Sanders wasnât the only Cleveland Browns draftee to receive a prank phone call during the 2025 NFL Draft.
Mason Graham, the former Michigan football All-American defensive tackle who was taken No. 5 overall by the organization, also received prank calls.
Grahamâs father, Allen Graham, said that his son was pranked on TikTok, and then the person responsible for the prank showed Grahamâs phone number over the video.
âYeah â that happened,â Allen Graham told the Free Press via text message. âSomeone made a TikTok while crank calling him & showed his number on the video ⌠his phone was getting called nonstop.â
Who prank called Graham and how they got his phone number is unknown.
Allen added that they have not received an apology for the call either.
âNot (sure) how all these guys got their numbers leaked?â Allen Graham said, via The Detroit Free Press. âWe told (the Browns) on the flight over to their facility. Mason said the calls have died down.â
