The Cleveland Browns have signed yet another quarterback to their roster.
The Cleveland Browns have added another player to their carousel of quarterbacks, signing Tyler “Snoop” Huntley, according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter.
Huntley is now the fifth quarterback on the Browns’ roster, joining veterans Joe Flacco Kenny Pickett and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. However, his addition is mostly due to injuries already starting to pile up at the position.
Pickett and Gabriel are both nursing hamstring injuries while Sanders is dealing with a sore shoulder.
Cleveland’s presumptive starter — Flacco — seems to be the team’s only healthy quarterback, but he is now 40. So Huntley should provide some much-needed, high-end depth at the position as a former Pro Bowler.
Huntley has completed 307 of 475 passes (64.6%) for 2,786 yards, 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 25 career games. He has also rushed for 644 yards and five more scores.
The 27-year-old began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens, with whom he would play four seasons (2020-23).
Huntley earned his Pro Bowl nod during the 2022 season, when he stepped in for the injured Lamar Jackson and led the Ravens to the playoffs.
His first stint with the Browns came in 2024, but he was released after making the 53-man roster due to a lack of trade interest. Now he is back with the hopes of making it this time around, despite NFL teams typically carrying only two or three quarterbacks.
Cleveland’s quarterback room may be the most polarizing in the NFL and Huntley only adds to its lore.
