The Las Vegas Raiders’ franchise has had a long, often contentious relationship with NFL officials.

We all know the history from Walt Coleman and the Tuck Rule to Gene Steratore and the index card to several other instances that wronged the Silver and Clack.

Apparently we need to add another name to the Raiders’ list of offiicials that don’t always do right by them — Clete Blakeman.

A recent study by Ingame.com showed Blakeman has called he most penalties against the Raiders, spanning the 2014-24 seasons, than any other official. The study showed Blakeman called 104 penalties on the Raiders in that period. The next closest was Craig Wrolstad’s crew at 85 yellow flags.

Here’s a little context, though; Blakeman’s crew threw the second most penalties overall in that period with 2,286 across the NFL. Carl Chaffers’ crew led the NFL with 2,401 penalties called according to the study.

Blakeman is starting the next 10 years hot with the Raiders as well. His crew officiated their 31-0 Week 7 loss at the Kansas City Chiefs. He called 13 penalties in the game with eight going against the Raiders.

So, take it’s worth it’s worth, but when Blakeman works a Raiders’ game, expect laundry.
