The Pittsburgh Steelers have overhauled their receiving corps this offseason, and it all started with the blockbuster trade for DK Metcalf. But it didn’t end there.

Pittsburgh also acquired Robert Woods, just days after the 2025 NFL Draft. Roughly a week later, the Steelers traded George Pickens.

Now, according to The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo, Steelers general manager Omar Khan is “doing his due diligence to explore all options” to upgrade at the receiver position.

Steelers receivers coach Zach Azzanni has already announced that Calvin Austin will be the team’s No. 2 receiver this season after breaking out with 548 yards and four touchdowns in 2024.

However, the Steelers may want to find more upside in the competition between Robert Woods, Roman Wilson, Scotty Miller, Ben Skowronek, and a quartet of others. The Steelers have already conducted multiple trades and dipped into the free agency market, so it’s clear they’re comfortable addressing their needs in a number of ways.

At this point, the Steelers could be waiting to see how their receivers compete in training camp before making any further significant additions. Yet, it’s clear their GM is getting prepared to strike.
