Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown — who has personally been far from stellar this season, too — publicly ripped into the team’s defense following their collapse against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, dropping their record to 3-6.
Despite the Chicago Bears having 41-27 lead with 2:15 left in regulation, the Bengals — led by veteran QB Joe Flacco, was able to give the team a 42-41 lead as he led back-to-back touchdown drives in just 81 seconds, with the second happening after a rare recovered onside kick.
With just 25 seconds on the clock, the Bears were able to score a touchdown from their own 42 yard line via a 58-yard strike to rookie tight end Colston Loveland, which featured multiple missed tackles along the way.

That touchdown gave the Bears a lead that even the ageless Flacco couldn’t overcome, with the Bengals losing the game by a score of 47-42.
After the brutal loss, running back Chase Brown could barely contain his emotions while speaking to the media as he placed the blame solely at the feet of the defense, angrily telling them to “finish the f’ing game.”
“We’ve just got to play complementary football. We put the ball in the endzone and go up a point at the end. Finish the f—ing game, like, just end it. That’s it. That’s what we need to do, just end the f—— game,” Brown lamented.
Speaking on ESPN’s Get Up the next morning, NFL analyst and former Super Bowl champion said that Brown airing out the team’s dirty laundry with the media wasn’t right and will cause an even bigger issue in the locker room, potentially even a fight.
