Noah Fant has a great chance to revive his career.
The Seattle Seahawks moved on from Fant earlier this month, releasing the veteran tight end after three underwhelming seasons in the Pacific Northwest.
Seahawks general manager John Schneider told Seattle Sports’ Wyman and Bob that it was a “pure cap casualty situation.”
Fant came to Seattle in the blockbuster 2022 Russell Wilson trade and had one year left on a two-year, $21 million contract that he signed in 2024. According to OvertheCap.com, he was set to carry a $13.41 million salary cap hit this season, which would have been the second-highest cap hit of any Seahawks player.
Now, it seems his misfortunes might work out for him in the end.
The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to sign free agent tight end Noah Fant, according to a report by Adam Schefter.

Fant, who’s entering his seventh NFL season, was a first-round pick by the Denver Broncos in 2019 and spent the past three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.
Noah Fant joins a tight ends room that includes Mike Gesicki, Drew Sample, Tanner McLachlan, Tanner Hudson, Kole Taylor, and Cam Grandy.
Fant is an uber-athletic tight end with good speed and ability with the ball in his hands.
Fant, a Broncos first-round pick in 2019, had spent the last three seasons with the Seahawks. Last year, Fant caught 48 passes for 500 yards with one touchdown.
He is only 27-years-old and could quite possibly have a great year with Joe Burrow as his quarterback.
