The Cincinnati Bengals missed the playoffs this year when the Kansas City Chiefs got blown out 38-0 by the Denver Broncos, who fizzled in the postseason.
There was some talk about the Chiefs intentionally throwing the game to avoid facing the one team in the AFC that has proven itself capable of beating the back-to-back champs. But Travis Kelce vehemently denied that.
Then yesterday, the Chiefs’ star defensive tackle Chris Jones responded to a question about the toughest team to face in the AFC by saying it’s the Cincinnati Bengals. He also mentioned that injuries have kept the Bengals from having (more) success. Watch below.
What does that mean now? Not much other than the fact that the Bengals are top of mind for the Chiefs, as we said in the video below.
