On Sunday, February 9, 2025, the NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles will host the AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Having defeated the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round and the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship, the Chiefs stand one win away from NFL immortality. A victory over Philadelphia on Sunday would make them the first franchise in league history to claim three straight Super Bowl titles.
The Eagles are hoping for some form of redemption. Two seasons after their Super Bowl LVII loss to the Chiefs, Philadelphia now has a chance to avenge that loss on the biggest stage. As the NFC’s No. 2 seed, Philadelphia defeated the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round, the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round and the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship to clinch its spot in Super Bowl LIX.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce vier the second-ranked Eagles defense as their toughest test yet. Meanwhile, Kansas City’s defense will have to find a way to contend with quarterback Jalen Hurts, his talented receiving corps and running back Saquon Barkley.
