Everything that went down during Kansas City’s fourth training camp practice in St. Joseph.

On Friday morning, the Kansas City Chiefs returned to the practice field at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph for the fourth full practice of the team’s 2025 training camp.

This was one of 17 sessions scheduled for the team’s practice field next to MWSU’s Spratt Stadium. 12 of the remaining practices will be open to the public — click here for details and a full schedule — while one more will be open only to the team’s Season Ticket Members.

Arrowhead Pride editor-in-chief Pete Sweeney was there. He posted some observations on social media about a strange day.

For the fourth straight day, only the players on PUP didn’t participate.

Here’s another thing that’s been the same for four consecutive days: the starting offensive line.

But it seems that defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo prefers a little more variety.

Pete kept track of Friday’s pecking order among the running backs.

On a rainy, sloppy day, the starting quarterback was also a little sloppy.

But as always, Mahomes made some brilliant throws, too.

And sometimes, defenders made plays.

A few players who are deep on the depth chart caught Pete’s eye.

The second-team defensive front had a good day.

In the last 11-on-11, defenders had the edge on Mahomes.

And once again, the rookie wideout turned some heads.

So did Jaylen Watson.

As the linemen went up against each other, Pete took note of the standouts.

The two punters also have a lively competition underway.

Finally, Pete tallied up Mahomes’ targets on the day.

After a day off on Saturday, the next practice will be Sunday at 9:15 a.m. Arrowhead Time. It will be the first session in pads. As always, we will have live updates after practice begins. When it is over, the whole team will sign autographs, while head coach Andy Reid will be among those speaking to the press.
