Kansas City won’t have to wait long for another shot against Philadelphia.
The last time we saw the Kansas City Chiefs on a football field, they were soundly defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX.
Fortunately for Kansas City, it won’t have to wait long into the 2025 NFL season for another shot against Philadelphia. According to FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz, the Chiefs will host the Eagles at Arrowhead Stadium in their Week 2 matchup. The game time is set for the late-afternoon window at 3:25 p.m. Arrowhead Time on FOX.
Since head coach Andy Reid left Philadelphia for Kansas City in 2013, the Chiefs hold a 4-2 record against his former team, including both a Super Bowl win and the more recent Super Bowl loss.
Reports have also indicated that the Chiefs will open their season against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil, on Friday, September 5, which would give the club some additional rest for its home opener against the Eagles.
