The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of inactive players for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans.
As expected, neither right guard Trey Smith nor right tackle Jawaan Taylor will be available. Both staters were declared doubtful on Friday’s final injury report after missing the entire week’s practices. The Chiefs will also be without cornerback Kristian Fulton, wide receiver Jalen Royals, running back Elijah Mitchell, and kick returner Nikko Remigio.
With offensive line depth being severely tested, the Chiefs will have four tight ends active on game day for the first time this season.
Safety Christian Roland-Wallace was declared out for the contest on Friday with a back injury, but the second-year pro is not listed after being placed on the Chiefs’ Reserve/Injured list Saturday. Remigio was also ruled out after reportedly suffering a concussion during Friday’s practice.
On Saturday, Kansas City elevated practice squad guard C.J. Hanson to the active roster. As an elevated player, he will automatically be returned to the team’s practice squad after the game. He is active for the contest.
The Texans have also released their list of inactives.
After being listed as questionable, cornerback Kamari Lassiter will dress against Kansas City. The Texans will be without wide receiver Braxton Berrios, quarterback Graham Mertz, cornerback Ja’Marcus Ingram, defensive end Solomon Byrd, linebacker Jamal Hill, and tackle Jarrett Kingston.
Hill had already been ruled out. The Texans also listed safety Jaylen Reed as out, but he was placed on their Reserve/Injured list on Saturday.
The Texans elevated defensive back Alijah Huzzie and defensive tackle Haggai Chisom Ndubuisi for the matchup. Chisom Ndubuisi will dress for the contest while Huzzie was declared inactive.
